A philanthropic movement named Manitham was started in our college on 22.02.2017 with a noble cause to help and pamper destitutes and homeless people. Ninety people are being taken care under this scheme. There is a separate Whatsapp group which has the Principal as the admin. Dr. A. Asaraf Ali, M.A., B.L., Ph.D. has volunteered to serve as the legal advisor to Manitham. Mr. M. Sathick Ali, Assistant Professor of Tamil is the coordinator. With a view to involving more volunteers, a meeting was held on 25.07.2017 at the seminar hall. It was resolved to collect old dresses from the students and provide those to the homeless. Accordingly the dresses were collected and distributed to the people in need.
