Activities - (2016-2017)

The Department of Computer Science (PG) inaugurated its Association with a special lecture on Life Skill Development by Dr. B. William Dharma Raja, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Education, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The Department conducted four guest lectures in a span of five months. The first lecture was organized on September 09, 2016 with Ms. Mahaboobathunnisha as the chief guest. She spoke on Basics of MATLAB. The second lecture was organized on October 06, 2016 with Dr. Suyambulingam as the resource person who spoke on Internet of Things. The third lecture was conducted on January 24, 2017 with Mr. A. Syed Hamim as the guest speaker and the fourth lecture with the topic Neural Paradigm was conducted on January 30, 2017 with Prof. K. Subbiah, M.D.T. Hindu College, as the guest of honour. In between the series of guest lectures, the Department conducted a State Level Workshop on Segmentation, Feature Extraction & Classification using MATLAB on September 21, 2016. Dr. K. Jeya Priya, Director, Vin Solutions; and Dr. A. Suruliandi, Professor and Head, Department of IT & CS, M.S. University, were the resource persons.
