Activities - (2018-2019)

The PG and Research Department of Computer Science inaugurated its Association on July 23, 2018. Mrs. J. Rexy, Dean of Women Students, St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, was the chief guest and gave a talk on the topic, Twin Technology. The guest lecture of the semester was organized on December 28, 2018 titled, Cloud Computing. Mr. R. Saravana Kumar, M.E., Senior Project Manager, INETZ Techno Solution, Tirunelveli, was the resource person. The department organized a two-day State level Workshop titled, Python with Data Science on October 03 and 04, 2018. Mr. Suria Sarath B.E., Python Developer, and Mr. Premchander B.Sc., M.B.A., Business Developer of Gateway Solutions, Coimbatore, were the resource persons. Nearly 70 students participated in the event. On January 10, 2019, an Intra College Technical Symposium called, EXCELSiOR’19 was conducted and Dr. Grasha Jacob, Associate Professor, Rani Anna Govt Women’s College, Tirunelveli, was the chief guest for the event, where more than 50 students participated and showcased their talents. A National Level Workshop titled, Machine Learning and Deep Learning using TensorFlow MLDL’19 was organized by the department on February 21, 2019. Dr. S. Santhosh Baboo, Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli; Dr. C. Xavier, Vice President, Capgemini, Bengaluru; and Dr. G. M. Nasira, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Applications, Chikkana Govt. College, Tiruppur, were the resource persons. Almost 170 participants were benefitted from the workshop.
