About the Department

Computer Science - Unaided

The Computer Science Department was established in the year 2012. With qualified and experienced faculty, the Department is equipped with good infrastructure. It offers globally valuable education in CS and produces highly competent and value based students. The Department aims at imparting quality education and strives to quench the thirst for knowledge of students. The Department lays emphasis on theoretical and practical aspects of subjects taught viz. Computer Technologies, Distributed Computing, Information Security, Programming Languages, Networking and Database Management, Software Engineering, Operating System and several other domains of computer engineering. Updating the syllabus is carried out at regular span of time to keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies i.e. incorporation of Android, Python, Soft-Computing and the like. The curriculum inculcates industrial summer training which enables students to get acquainted with work-culture and, in-turn, help them groom themselves. Symposiums, workshops, conferences and seminars of national and international levels are organized by the department in close liaison with renowned professional societies. Moreover, experts with hands-on experience regularly share their domain knowledge with the department by means of guest lectures, workshops, seminars etc. .

The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high Wi-Fi networks.
