Women Harassment Prevention Cell of our Sadakathullah Appa College has been established to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to all the women staff and students. It prevents offensive gestures such as staring, leering, whistling, winking, unwanted touching, leaning over, cornering, pinching, unwanted letters, telephone calls, elevator eyes and insulting the dignity of women staff and students through any kind of action, utterances, comments, songs etc., inside and outside the campus.
To prevent discrimination and any kind of harassment against women staff and students
To create awareness about harassments in its various forms
To provide neutral, confidential and supportive environment
To provide counseling and support services on campus
To organize gender sensitization awareness programmes.
In compliance with the directives of the Joint Directorate of Collegiate Education, the Institution has formed the Women Harassment Prevention Cell to look into the complaints of harassment in the establishment and also to create awareness about the issue.

Women Harassment Prevention Cell conducted an Awareness Programme on 29th December, 2018 to create awareness among the girl students and the women staff. Mrs. S. Sasikala Rani, Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli Presided over the programme and addressed the girls students and staff.
Women Harassment Prevention Cell conducted an Awareness Programme on 30th July, 2019. Mrs. A. Bismitha, Special Sub-Judge, District Court, Tirunelveli Presided over the programme and addressed the girls students and staff.

Women Harassment Prevention Cell in collaboration with the NSS Unit of our College organized a special awareness programme, “Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child” on 24.1.2020 in our college. Mrs. Shilpa Prabhakar Sathish IAS, District Colle tor, Tirunelveli honoured the programme as Chief Guest and Mrs. Saraswathi, District Social Welfare Officer, Tirunelveli felicitated the gathering.

Women Harassment Prevention Cell conducted an Awareness Programme on 10th March, 2022 Mrs.A. Antony Jegatha, Inspector of Police, Anti Child Trafficking Unit, Palayamkottai Presided over the programme and addressed the girls students and staff.
