Sadakath Outreach Programme 2016-2017

Sadakath Outreach Programme, an extension activity of our College, has been in progress since 2009. Dr. N. MOHAMED RILWAN,DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS, is the Co-ordinator. The following are the programmes organized on behalf of SOP.

Details of the special camp activities:

Sadakath Consumer Forum and Entrepreneurship Development Cell is a new star in the Sadak horizon. It has been resolved to conduct various meetings, orientation programmes and consumer awareness programmes. In this view, we have organized one guest lecture on Consumer Awareness and Consumer Rights on 06.02.2017 at the college seminar hall. Mr. S. Vairava Raj, Director, Youth Development Centre, Tirunelveli has delivered the Key-note Address. A total of 50 students have enrolled with the SCF and EDC. Our students have been motivated to participate in various competitions and functions related to consumer movements. 15 students of our college participated in the World Consumer Day programme organized by the District Collectorate on 21.12.2016. I am proud to say that our college SCF and EDC secured 3rd place in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districtsfor running the consumer forum successfully. District Collector Dr. Karunakaran, I.A.S., distributed certificate and honorarium in this regard at World Consumer Day celebrations on 21.12.2016. Dr. AjazHajaMohideen, coordinator of this forum participated and got 1st Prize for making Business Plan for budding entrepreneurs at the UGC sponsored Seven Day Faculty Development Programmeorganized by ManonmaniamSundaranar University.
