About Yoga

The Part-V yoga unit of our college, core focus is yoga for youth empowerment, and it's a great approach to promote students' physical and emotional health. Students at the university can take yoga classes. These lessons are led by a certified yoga teacher with experience in instructing yoga asanas and meditation practices that can help the students maintain a fit, healthy, and stress-free lifestyle. To help the students attain optimum physical, mental, and emotional wellness, the classes emphasize a variety of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practices. Moreover, yoga is taught in the lessons as a way to develop flexibility, strength, and concentration as well as to relieve tension. Student independent yoga practice at home is also encouraged by the instructor. The college also offers workshops and retreats to help students deepen their yoga practice.

Yoga is a practice of physical, mental and spiritual exercises, which originated in India. It is believed that yoga helps to maintain a healthy body, mind and soul. The practice of yoga has been in existence for more than 5,000 years, and has been adapted and modified over the years to suit different lifestyles. In our college, the practice of yoga was started in the year of 2018. The purpose of yoga is to create a balance between the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of an individual, and to bring harmony between the body and mind. The college has introduced yoga classes, which are held on a weekly basis. The classes involve a range of yoga postures and breathing exercises, which are designed to help improve physical and mental health. The classes also focus on relaxation techniques and meditation, which help to reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing.

Every year of 21st June our college celebrates the International Day of Yoga. We provide a space for students, and staff to come together and practice yoga. We also invite guest speakers to provide instruction on yoga techniques, philosophy, and benefits. To supplement our activities, we often provide educational resources, such as handouts and videos, to help our participants learn more about the practice of yoga. Through this celebration, we hope to foster a greater appreciation of the practice and its benefits.
