On 21st August, 2024 the Department of Commerce (Honours) organized the association inaugural function for the academic year 2024 – 2025 at the college Seminar hall. The Vice-Principal Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, presided over the function and delivered the felicitation address. The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. S. Gayathri, Master Trainer – EDII-TN, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Business Administration, St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, who delivered the inaugural address on the topic “Building a Startup Journey from Scratch – Success and Learning Experience”. The key note speaker addressed the initial hurdles faced by startups, especially those without a significant financial cushion.
On 24th October, 2024 the Department of Commerce (Honours) organized a Guest Lecture for the academic year 2024 – 2025 at the college Seminar hall. Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-principal presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address. The Chief Guest of the programme was Mr. D. Vimal Rajan, Founder and CEO, Makerz Technologies who delivered the Key note address on the topic “Growth Hacking for Startups: Leveraging Digital Marketing to Scale with Limited resources”. The guest lecture highlighted the pivotal role startups play in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and addressing contemporary societal challenges.
The Department of Commerce (Honours) organized a Career Awareness Programme for the academic year 2024 – 2025 on 23rd October, 2024 at the college Seminar hall. Dr. Mohamed Haneef, IQAC Co-ordinator and Head of the Department of English presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address. The Chief Guest of the programme was Mr. G. S. M. Subramanian, AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor, who delivered the Key note address on the topic “Navigating Career Opportunities in Mutual Fund Industry”. The speaker shared valuable insights into the career paths, industry trends, and the necessary skills to succeed in this field.. The speaker’s insights into the sector’s future, required skills, and potential career paths helped attendees better understand the steps they need to take to succeed in this growing industry.
