The Department of Commerce (Honours) organized its Association Inauguration on 21st August 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. On the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Day, the Inaugural Address was given by Mr. Arjun Kannapiran, Founder of Crazy Coconut, who spoke on 'Raising Capital and Managing Finance for Startups His insightful session provided students with innovative ideas on entrepreneurial ventures, capital management, and the execution of startup plans. The address was highly enriching, leaving the audience inspired to think creatively about entrepreneurship.
The Department of Commerce (Honours) saccessfully organized the UNXT Employability Training Programme for the final-year students from 20th July 2025 to 7th August 2025. The training was conducted by Mr. Mohammed Ajmal, Resource Person from the Unnati Foundation, Bangalore, with the objective of enhancing students communicative competence, interpersonal confidence, and employability skills. Under the guidance of Mr. Mohammed Ajmal, the sessions focused on spoken English, presentation skills, interview etiquette, group discussions, workplace behaviour, resume building, and confidence enhancement. The resource person engaged the students through interactive activities, role plays, and practical demonstrations, ensuring active participation and personal development.The programme was well-received by the students, who expressed that the sessions boosted their confidence and preparedness for future employment opportunities.
On 23th Jan, 2026 the Department of Commerce (Honours) organized a guest lecture for the academic year 2025-2026 at the college Seminar hall. The Chief Guests of the programme was Dr.J.Merrylin, EDII- Master Trainer, Dept. of Nutrition and Dietectics, Sadakathullah Appa College, who delivered the Key note address on the top "Start Smart: Lean StartUp & MVP Build First, Perfect Later". The resource person will deliver an insightful session on how to launch a minimum viable product to gather real world feedback first, then develop the simplest version of the product.
On 24th Jan, 2026 the Department of Commerce (Honours) organized a one day workshop for the academic year 2025-2026 at the college Seminar hall.. The Chief Guests of the programme was Mr. M. Yousuf Badhusha, Managing Director, Digital Marketing Expert, who delivered the Key note address on the top "From Zero to online hero". The resource person will deliver an insightful session on how to learn digital skills, consistent content creation and building a personal brand".
