A one Day National seminar on “The Developments of Islamic Jurisprudence over the Ages” was held on 22/12/2016. The programme started with the recitation from the Quran. Mr.J.Ubaiyathulla, Head of the Department of Arabic welcomed to the participants and the presidential address was given by Dr. M. Mohamed Sathik, Principal, SadakathullahAppa College, the inaugural address was given by Dr. Jamaludeen FarooqiK.Principal (Rtd), WMO College, Wayanadu, Kerala. Dr. S. Anwar Badhusha V.S., Guest Lecturer, Dept. of Arabic, Urdu and Persian, delivered the keynote address.
Mr.AbdulHayu, Former Head of the department of Arabic, SadakathullahAppa College, Chaired Session–I. Five Participants from the various colleges presented their papers on different sub topics of the seminar.

Nearly 45 students from various college who are studying Arabic as Part-I, especially the students from Department of Islamic Studies participated in the seminar with interested and motivated.
In the valedictory function the director of self-financing courses, Dr.A. Abdul Kathar gave the felicitation address and finally distributed the certificates. Mr.MohamedRafeek Asst. Prof. of Arabic proposedthe vote of thanks.
This is the Fifth national seminar conducted by the Dept of Arabic. The participants gave their feedbacks that the theme of the seminar really enlightened our knowledge and motivated to do the research in the Holy Quran,Hadith and Islamic Jurisprudence and face to solve the new challenges in Modern Era by the techniques and tricks from Principles and Elements of Islamic Jurisprudence.
The Department of Arabic organized a guest lecture - I on “Why is learning Arabic important in the modern world?” on 23/09/2016. Dr. A. JAHIR HUSSAIN, Asst. Prof. of Arabic & Chairman, Dept. of Arabic, Persian and Urdu, University of Madras, Chennai - 05was the speaker. Nearly one hundred students participated in the programme.
