Our Department of Computer Application Association Inaugural of the SAC TECH APPS was held on July 29th 2024 at 2.30 p.m. at Seminar Hall. The association inaugural commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdul Wathooth, III BCA. Dr. Jai Ruby, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Applications & Research Centre from Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli was the Chief Guest. Dr. D. M. Annie Brighty Christilin, Assistant Professor & Head, delivered the welcome address. Dr. S. M. Abdul Kader, Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Dr. Jai Ruby with a Memento. Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-Principal felicitated this function. Nearly 136 students participated in this program. The Chief Guest introduction was given by Mr .Z. Mohamed Meeran Mohideen. The Resource Person gave a keynote address on “Embracing New Beginnings”, in that she emphasized every new beginning presents an opportunity for growth and transformation. By approaching changes with a positive mindset, individuals and organizations can harness the potential of new ventures to drive innovation and success. Mr.K.Pavith delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Shajitha Parvin , III BCA was in responsibility of serving as master of ceremonies for this program.
The Department of Computer Applications, Sadakathullah Appa College, Palayamkottai, and the Department of Computer Applications, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22.08.2024. The MoU aims to enhance students’ skills and promote research activities through collaborative initiatives and academic cooperation. The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr. S.M. Abdul Kader, Principal of Sadakathullah Appa College; Dr. S.M.A. Dr. Syed Mohammad Khaja, Vice Principal; and Dr. D.M. Annie Brighty Christilin, Head of the Department of Computer Applications. From Sarah Tucker College, Mrs. Usha Godwin, Head of the Department, and Dr. Jai Ruby, Associate Professor of the PG and Research Department of Computer Applications, signed the MoU. Faculty members of the Department of Computer Applications from both institutions participated in the event.
Our Department of Computer Applications,GUEST LECTURE of the SAC TECH APPS was held on September 23rd, 2024 at 2.30 p.m. at Auditorium. The Guest Lecture commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdul Wathooth, III BCA. Mr. Saravana Kumar, Senior Project Manager, ICONIX Software Solutions, Tirunelveli was the Chief Guest.Dr.A. Farzana, Assistant Professor, delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.A.Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Mr. Saravana Kumar with a shawl and also felicitated this function. Nearly 138 students participated in this program. The Resource Person gave a keynote address on “A Beginner’s Journey into Android App Development” in that he emphasized the exciting world of Android app development and guided about the immense opportunities for innovation and creativity.Dr. Annie Brighty, Head of the Department organized the program successfully. Our Department of Computer Applications’ Association SAC TECH APPScelebrated the commemorative day of ‘Android Day’with a QUIZ COMPETITION on September 23rd, 2024 at 2.30 p.m. at Auditorium. The competition commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdul Wathooth, III BCA. Mr. Saravana Kumar, Senior Project Manager, ICONIX Software Solutions, Tirunelveli and Mr. Z. Mohamed Meeran Mohideen, Assistant Professor acted as the judge for the quiz competition. Dr.A. Farzana, Assistant Professor, delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Mr. Saravana Kumar with a shawl and also felicitated this function. In the Quiz, there were 5 teams, pair of 2 members participated in this competition. Miss. M. Safrin Adam and Miss. M. Sameera Fathima of I BCA won the First prize. Mr. B. Maharaja and Mr. Shajith of III BCA took the Second prize and Mr. S. Balaji and Mr. S. Akil Muthu of I BCA secured the Third prize.Dr. Annie Brighty, Head of the Department organized the program successfully. The Principal, Vice-principal and the Quiz Judge distributed the certificates and congratulated the winners. Mr.K. Pavith delivered the vote of thanks.Miss. The Department of Computer Applications organized an Industrial Visit to ZOP Technology, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, on 27th December 2024, aimed at providing students with practical insights into the course "Android App Development." A group of 32 students, accompanied by 2 faculty members, participated in this industry visit, which offered a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Android app development. This visit was a significant part of the students' learning experience, allowing them to gain exposure to real-world applications and enhance their understanding of the industry.
The Department of Computer Applications successfully executed a key activity under the MoU, the "Faculty Exchange Program," on 6th February 2025. As part of this initiative,Dr. A. Farzana, Assistant Professor, conducted a well-organized session in collaboration with the PG and Research Department of Computer Applications, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. Dr.A. Farzana delivered an insightful class on the topic “Cyber Security” for III BCA students. The session was highly informative, with nearly 35 students in attendance, who benefited greatly from the expert knowledge shared during the class. This activity further strengthened the academic ties between the institutions and provided students with valuable learning on a crucial topic in today’s digital world.
Our Department of Computer Application organized the One-Day State Level Workshop on Feb 24th 2025 at 9.00 a.m. at Seminar Hall and Lab III. Dr.D.M.Annie Brighty Christilin, Assistant Professor and Head, delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.Abdul Kader, Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Mr. J. Mohammed Nowsath Sherif with a Memento. Dr.S.M.A.Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-Principal valedicted this function. The116 studentsacross neighboring colleges and various departments of Sadakathullah Appa College were participated in this program. The Chief Guest introduction was given by Dr.A.Farzana. The Resource Person gave a hands-on training on “Generative AI Tools”, in that he explored the innovative skills about the Generative AI Tools with case studies. The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Centre for Digital Learning, commemorated the 'International Day for Digital Learning' by organizing a seminar titled “AI Tools” on March 21st, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in LAB III. The seminar focused on exploring the transformative role of artificial intelligence in today’s digital landscape and its applications in various fields. The session was led by Mr. K. Pavith, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, who provided valuable insights into the latest AI tools and their impact on enhancing productivity, problem-solving, and decision-making. The event was well-arranged and executed by the faculty members of the department, offering a comprehensive understanding of AI and its growing importance in the digital era.
The Department of Computer Applications hosted the valedictory seminar for its association on Monday, 24th March 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in the Seminar Hall. The event began with a Qirath recitation by Abdul Wathooth, III B.C.A., followed by an engaging Welcome Address by Mr. Z. Mohamed Meeran Mohideen, Assistant Professor. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. S. M. A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice-Principal (Unaided Courses). He expressed his gratitude to the faculty members for their commitment and hard work in conducting meaningful activities for the students. He also urged the students to focus on developing skills that would benefit them in every aspect of life. Mr. K. Pavith, Assistant Professor, introduced the keynote speaker, Mr. K. Ganesh Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science (PG) and ICT Coordinator at Sadakathullah Appa College, Tirunelveli. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. K. Ganesh Kumar, who spoke on the topic "Skills for Life." He highlighted the importance of essential life skills, including time management, effective communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. Nearly 136 students participated in this program. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. A. Farzana, Assistant Professor. The seminar was conducted smoothly with Ashiqa A, I B.C.A, acting as the Master of Ceremony.
