Activities - (2025-2026)

Our Department of Computer Applications, Sadakathullah Appa College (Autonomous), Tirunelveli, organized the Inaugural Function of the Association SAC TECH APPS on Thursday, 31st July 2025, at 2.30 PM in the Seminar Hall. The theme of the event is “Cultivating Intellectual Humility.” The program is commenced with the Qirath rendered by Mr. Abdul Karim, a student of III B.C.A., is seeking the blessings of the Almighty and followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mr. Z. Mohamed Meeran Mohideen, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, who warmly greeted the Principal, Vice-Principal, Chief Guest, faculty members, and students. The Presidential Address is delivered by Dr. R. Janet Rani, Vice-Principal of the college. She highlighted the importance of humility in intellectual pursuits and encouraged students to actively engage in the association’s activities to enhance their knowledge and skills. The Chief Guest, Dr. J. Patricia Annie Jebamalar, Vice Principal, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Tirunelveli, was introduced by Dr. A. Farzana, Assistant Professor. The Keynote Address by the Chief Guest inspired the students to adopt a humble approach toward learning, adapt to emerging technologies, and strive for excellence in their careers. Nearly 136 students participated in this program. This event is concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. K. Pavith, Assistant Professor, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the program a grand success. Ms. Mariammal of III B.C.A. served as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth flow of the program. The arrangements for the successful completion of the program are organized by the Head of the Department, Dr. D. M. Annie Brighty Christilin along with the faculties and staff members.

The theme of the event is “Enhance UI/UX Design via GitHub Tools.” The program is commenced with the Qirath rendered by Mr. Abdul Karim, III B.C.A., is seeking the blessings of the Almighty and followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mr. Z. Mohamed Meeran Mohideen, Assistant Professor, who warmly greeted the Principal, Vice-Principal, Chief Guest, faculty members, and students. The Presidential Address is delivered by Dr. R. Department of Computer Application ORIENTATION PROGRAM of the SAC TECH APPS was held on 23.01.2026 at 2.30 p.m. in LAB III. This program commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdullah, II BCA., Tirunelveli. Dr.D.M.Annie Brighty Christilin, Assistant Professor & Head, organized this program. Dr.A.Farzana delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.Abdul Kader, Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Mr.Ramkumar Thangavel, CEO, Skylena Infotech Pvt.Ltd, Coimbatore. Dr.R.Janet Rani, Vice-Principal felicitated this function. Nearly 126 students participated in this program. The Chief Guest introduction was given by Dr.A.Farzana. The Resource Person emphasized that every new beginning presents an opportunity for Inclusion and Social Empowerment with AI Innovations. By approaching changes with a positive mindset, individuals and organizations can harness the potential of new ventures to drive innovation and success. Mr.K.Pavith delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Mariammal, III BCA was in responsibility of serving as master of ceremonies for this program.

Our Department of Computer Application Guest Lecture of the SAC TECH APPS was held on 03.02.2026 at 2.30 p.m. in Auditorium This program commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdullah, II BCA., Tirunelveli. Dr.D.M.Annie Brighty Christilin, Assistant Professor & Head, organized this program. Mr.Z.Mohamed Meeran Mohideen delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.Abdul Kader, Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Dr. J.Rexy, Dean of Service Organization from St Xaviers College with a Memento. Dr.R.Janet Rani, Vice-Principal felicitated this function. Nearly 128 students participated in this program. The Chief Guest introduction was given by Dr.A.Farzana. Department of Computer Application Hands-On AI Tech Training of the SAC TECH APPS was held on 09.02.2026 at 3.00 p.m. in LAB III collaborated with IIC. This program commenced with a soulful Qirath by Abdullah, II BCA., Tirunelveli. Dr.D.M.Annie Brighty Christilin, Assistant Professor & Head, organized this program. Mr.Z.Mohamed Meeran Mohideen delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.M.Abdul Kader, Principal presided this function and also honored the chief guest Mr.S.B.S.Younus, Assistant Professor of Computer Science (Unaided), Sadakathullah Appa College, Tirunelveli. Dr.R.Janet Rani, Vice-Principal felicitated this function. Nearly 126 students participated in this program. The Chief Guest introduction was given by Dr.A.Farzana. The Resource Person emphasized that providing participants with experiential learning opportunities that emphasized problem identification, ideation, data exploration, model development, prototyping, and evaluation of AI-driven solutions, thereby fostering innovation, critical thinking, and practical application of artificial intelligence concepts in real-world scenarios. As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Faculty Exchange initiative, the Department of BCA organized a significant academic activity on 11th February 2026 for the III BCA students. The session was conducted by Dr. Jai Ruby, Associate Professor in the PG and Research Department of Computer Applications at Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. A total of 45 students actively participated in the program. In collaboration with the BCA Department of Sadakathullah Appa College, she delivered an extensive and well-structured lecture on Data Set Creation and Retrieval using R, a key component of the R Programming with Data Science curriculum. Her session provided in-depth insights, practical exposure, and a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, greatly benefiting the students academically.
