Activities - (2015-2016)

The Department of Chemistry inaugurated its Association for the academic year 2015 on August 26. The Department has organized two guest lectures: one on September, 16 with Dr. Shakina, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Sarah Tucker College, as the Resource Person. The guest speaker enlightened the gathering with her insights on Kinetics of Chemical Reactions. Subsequently, yet another guest lecture was organized on February 11, 2016 with Mr. A. Narayanan, Proprietor, Narayanan Water Academy, Vagaikulam, as the Resource Person.

He spoke on the title Water Management. The Department also organized a State Level Seminar onEmerging Trends in Chemistry – ETC’16 on 06.01.2016. Dr. S. Muthu Subramanian, Head,School of Chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai; Dr. I. Hubert Joe, Associate Professor of Physics, Mar Ivanius College, Trivandrum, and Dr. A. Syed Ali Pathusha, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy, were the Resource Persons. 43 students of III year B.Sc. Chemistry visited Kudankulam Atomic Research Centre as their Industrial Visit. They were accompanied by Dr. M. Sheik Muhideen Badhusha, Dr. Jeslin Kanaga Inba and Dr. I. Antony Danish.
