Activities - (2016-2017)

The Department of Chemistry inaugurated its Association on August 27, 2016 with the special talk by Dr. P. Thillai Arasu, Professor of Chemistry, P.S.N. Group of Institutions,Tirunelveli, on Chemistry Graduates - Career Opportunities. The Department organized a Guest Lecture on October 24, 2016 with Mr. A. Ibrahim, Managing Director,Amma Aqua Packaged Drinking Water, Tirunelveli, as the Resource Person. Mr. A. Ibrahim delivered a lecture on Water Technology.

The Department also organized a UGC sponsored National Level Seminar on Recent Developments in Chemistry (RDC’ 17) on February 20, 2017. The National Level Seminar had Dr. E. Subramanian, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, M.S. University, Tirunelveli; Dr. V. Rama, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli; Dr. I. Hubert Joe, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Mar Ivanios College, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram, and Dr. P. Elumalai, Associate Professor, Centre for Green Energy Technology, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, as the Resource Persons.
