Activities - (2015-2016)

The Research Department of Commerce inaugurated its Association on August 20, 2015. Dr. Eugine Franco of St. Xavier’s College was the Chief Guest. He spoke on Changing Trends and Emerging Area in the Field of Commerce. The Department conducted a UGC-sponsored National Seminar on Recent Trends in e-Commerce on 28.10.2015. Dr. K. Mahesh Kutralam, Department of Management Studies, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, and Mr. K. Thanga Thirupathi, Vice-President, Axis Bank, Tirunelveli, were the Resource Persons. Subsequently, another guest lecture was organized on March 07, 2016 with Mr. Ravi Ganesh delivering a lecture on Beliefs and Daily Acts. The students of the Commerce Department are undergoing a modular course on e-Filing VAT. Four students have cleared CMA and CA Preliminary Examinations.
