Association Inauguration Programme

PG and Research Department of Commerce inaugurated its Association Lecture on 09.08.2023 and the guest speaker Ms. S.Rajalakshmi, B.Tech, Managing Partner, Srinivasa Trading Company, Tirunelveli, delivers the Inaugural Address. The programme commenced with Qirath followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Ms. Sorna Karthika of III B.Com welcomed the gathering. The Vice Principal Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, presides over the function. Dr. A. Hamil, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Commerce introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest delivered the inaugural address on “Is CA my cup of Tea? Unboxing Myths and Revealing True Facts of CA Course”. The main objective of this Programme is to motivate the students to clear CA exams and help them build career as a Chartered Accountant. She explain the students how to clear the CA exam in the first attempt. The second most important thing to clear this exam in the first attempt is to make a timetable and follow it. A candidate should prepare a timetable for at least 4 hours per day of study. This Programme was very informative and fruitful for our students. Ms. Abinaya Lakshmi of I M.Com proposed Vote of Thanks. Nearly 90 students of PG and Research Department of Commerce participated.

One-Day workshop on “Hands on Training in share market Trade” On Wednesday 12/10/2023

The Post Graduate and Research Department of Commerce, SadakathullahAppa College (Autonomous) Rahmath Nagar, Tirunelveli organized a One-Day workshop on Hands “on Training in share market Trade” On Wednesday 12/10/2023. Dr. A. Hamil, Head and Associate Professor of Commerce welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr. S.M. Abdul kader presided over it. Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed khaja, Vice-Principal facilitate the workshop. Guest of honor Mr. M. Sundar, B.Com., MBA.,DMS., Managing Partner, Mani Associates, Tirunelveli. delivered the lecture and gave a training on share market Trade, role of share trade, stock exchange, investment plan, and functions of online trading etc.,

Dr. M. Abdul Rahman, Dr. A. Benazir, Dr. J. Abdul kader, Dr. P. AmraMariyam, Assistant Professor of Commerce acted as observers. Dr. Abusali Sheik, Dr. A. Shakul, and Dr. M. Siddik, faculty members of Commerce to coordinated the programme successfully. The UG & PG, final year students participated and gathered more knowledge and information through hands on training. Dr. P. AmraMariyam,Assistant Professor of Commerce proposed vote of thanks. Absana from II - B.Com, hosted the programme. Students and faculty members from Commerce and economic department were participated.

Inter Departmental Quiz Competition

An inter departmental quiz competition was conducted by The PG and Research Department of Commerce on 1st November,2023 . The programme commenced at 10 AM and concluded at 1:30 PM. The quiz was coordinated by Dr. J.Abdul Kader and Dr.P.AmraMariyam, Assistant Professors in Commerce and Chaired by Dr.A.Hamil, Head of the Department of Commerce. Twenty departments had registered for the quiz. The quiz was divided into four rounds: 1. The elimination round-The departments were eliminated during the written preliminary test. Eight departments were finally selected for the quiz. The second round focused on current events and students were given a chance to use a 50-50 life line. The third round was an open end question round based on awards and dates. The fourth round was allotted to sports and the final round was a connection round with a visual theme.

All the staff members actively participated and provided their cooperation for the smooth conduct of the quiz competition.

Guest Lecture I

PG and Research Department of Commerce organizes Guest Lecture I on 23.01.24 at 11.30 am in College Seminar hall and the guest speakers C.J Ramesh Kumar and Mr.Janarthan, MJR Education Private ltd, Tirunelveli delivers special lecture on “GST Accounting with tally”. The programme commenced with Qirath followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Ms. Kiruthika of I M.Com welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. S.M. Abdul Kader, presides over the function and the Vice Principal Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, felicitates the function. Dr. A. Hamil, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Commerce introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest delivered the lecture on “GST Accounting with tally”. The main motive of this lecture is to create awareness about the GST Accounting with tally Software. They expain how does Tally Prime GST Software help with GST compliance? TallyPrime GST Software simplifies GST compliance by automating the process of generating GST returns. It also ensures accurate and timely filing of GST returns and thereby it helps businesses stay compliant with the latest GST regulations. Ms Izzath of ll M.Com proposed Vote of Thanks. Nearly 94 students of PG and Research Department of Commerce participated.

Guest Lecture II

PG and Research Department of Commerce organizes Guest Lecture II on 13.02.24 PG and Research Department of Commerce organizes Guest Lecture I on 23.02.24 at 9.30 am in Auditorium and the guest speakers Mr Muhammad sarfaraaz Qatar,Central Bank ,Doha, Qatar delivers a Special Address on “Opportunities in Banking Sector””. The programme commenced with Qirath followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr. A. Hamil, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. S.M. Abdul Kader, presides over the function and the Vice Principal Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, felicitates the function. The main motive of this lecture is to create awareness about job opportunities in Banking sector. The session was interesting and motivating for our students. Dr. P.Amra Mariyam Assistant Professor of Commerce proposed Vote of Thanks. Nearly 94 students of PG and Research Department of Commerce participated.

ZOHO WORKSHOP March 05,06, & 07, 2024

The PG and Research Department of Commerce, Sadakathullah Appa College organised Three-Days workshop on “ZOHO BOOKS” in association with ZOHO Corporation on 5 – 7 March 2024, The workshop was funded by Sadakathullah Appa College Management Funded.

ZOHO Books is GST Ready Cloud-based online accounting Software and it is a comprehensive Accounting Platform. Mr. T.A. Mohamed Rameez Faizal, Global Head - training & Capability Development, ZOHO Mr. Syed Naazer S K - Technical trainer, ZOHO Mr. Hari V - Founder - Gobiz sultions were served as the resource persons. In this workshop Students were trained how to record the business transactions, send Invoices, reconciles bank transactions, tracking inventory, generate reports and GST Returns effortlessly using ZOHO books.

In the valedictory session certificates were distributed to all the participants. At the end of the program PG and Research Department of Commerce signed MOU with ZOHO.

Near 70 students and faculty members were participated in the workshop, Dr. Abusali, Dr. Shakul Hameed, Dr. Geetha, Dr. Abdul Rahman, Dr. Benazir, Dr. Amra Mariam faculty members of commerce department to coordinate the workshop successfully.

Commerce Association Valedictory Function

PG and Research Department of Commerce organize its Valedictory Function on 15.04.2024 and the guest speaker Dr. A. Abdul Kader Former Director of Un Aided Courses, Sadakathullah Appa College delivered the Valedictory address on the topic “. The programme commenced with Qirath followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr. A.Hamil, Associate Professor and Head of PG and Research Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. S.M. Abdul Kader, presides over the function and the Vice Principal Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, felicitates the function. The Chief Guest delivered the Valedictory address on “Entrepreneurship or Job which is preferable?” He motivates our students to consider the path of entrepreneurship. He explained that one of the most significant advantages of being an entrepreneur is the opportunity to create something meaningful and we have the freedom to pursue our passions and build a legacy that goes beyond just making a profit. He concluded that the world needs more innovators, creators, and changemakers. Ms Izzath Fathima, of I M.Com proposed Vote of Thanks. Nearly 240 students of PG and Research Department of Commerce participated. All the faculty member of PG and Research Department of Commerce were actively participated with this initiative.
