About the Department

The Department of Economics was ameliorated as a Major Department with the introduction of B.A. Economics from the academic year 2020 – 2021. The vision of the Department is to facilitate learners understand the concepts of traditional economy, modern economy, national and international economy, and apply them in such fields and sectors as Agriculture, Industry, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Health Care, Labour Care etc., to benefit State Economy, Indian Economy and World Economy. Also, the productive courses that focus on ethical and environmental concerns, labour welfare, women empowerment, entrepreneurship, consultancy etc., would prepare students utilize the resources wisely and justly, to ensure equality, to promote self-development and to ensure economic and social aims.
