The Post Graduate Department of English, SadakathullahAppa College organized the inauguration of English Literary Association on 7th August in the college seminar hall. The resource person Mr. Sivarama Krishnan delivered a lecture on Neo-Colonialism.
The Department of English UG & PG (Unaided), Sadakathullah Appa College organized the English Literary Association Guest Lecture on 28.09.2017. Ms. U. Fathima Farzana was the guest of honour who delivered the inaugural address on “Recent Developments in Literature & Theory.”
The National Seminar on Current Indian English Fiction was held on 22nd February 2018. The Chief Guests were Dr. Samuel Rufus, Associate Professor of English, Madras Christian College, Chennai and Dr. Mohamed Ali Jinnah, Associate. Prof of English, Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchi.

Dr. Faritha Begum, Associate Professor and Controller of Examinations, St. Ignatius College of Education, was the guest of honour who delivered the inaugural address on “Amydgala and Athma.”
On 13/3/2018 a Guest lecture was organized by the Post Graduate Department of English. DR. M. Savithri Professor of English, PSN College of Engineering, Tirunelveli delivers a lecture on “EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND LITERATURE”.
