About the Department

English

The Research Department of English offers courses in the English Language, Literature, Translation and Journalism. B.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D programmes are being offered. The Department has been recognised as a Research Centre in the academic year 2015-2016.

Dr. S. Mohamed Haneef, Dr.Kanna Muthiah, Dr.K.Hema, Lt.Dr. K. Syed Ali Bhadhusha and Dr.Yunush Ahamed Mohamed Sherif are the approved research guides. Dr. S. Mohamed Haneef, Lt. Dr.K.Syed Ali Bhadhusha got Minor Research Projects under the UGC XII plan.

The faculty members have authored books on Translation, Spoken English, Comparative Literature, Current English Usage and Theories and Practice of Translation.
