Activities - (2015-2016)

The Association of The Research Department of History was inaugurated on 18.02.2015. Dr. A. Abdul Kader, Director of Unaided Courses, Sadakathullah Appa College, delivered a lecture on Socio-Cultural Life of the Arabs. The Department conducted a UGC-sponsored Workshop on Technology and Teaching History. Dr. Jacob Vedaraj, Associate Professor of Computer Science, Nesamoni Memorial College, Nagercoil; Dr. Surlinath, Assistant Professor of Library Science, Bharathidhasan University; and Prof. S. Shajun Nisha, Head of the Department of Computer Science (PG), Sadakathullah Appa College, were the resource persons. The Department also conducted two more guest lectures with Dr. P. Sermakani, Associate Professor of History, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, delivering a lecture on Historical Objectivity on 16.09.2015 and Mr. S. Jeyakumar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, Sadakathullah Appa College, delivering a lecture on Economic Development of India since Independence on 07.10.2015.
