The Department of Information Technology inaugurated its Association on 24.07.2017 and Mr. S. Abdul Hameed Sharae, Professional Counsellor, Sri Lanka, inaugurated the association and spoke on “Stress Relieving Techniques”. Followed by Association inauguration, a Symposium was organized on February 19, 2018. Dr. Dejoy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, was the Resource Person. Nearly 200 students took part in the Symposium.
The Inauguration of the Association of the Department of IT was held on 24th July 2017 on Monday at 3.30 p.m. in the college Seminar Hall. Mrs.S.M.Abdul Hameed Sharaee, Professional Counsellor, Srilanka, was the Resource Person. He delivered the key note address on “STRESS RELIEVING TECHNIQUES”. One Hundred and twenty students from first, second and third year of Information Technology department participated in the program.
The National Level Championship & Workshop on “Android App Development ”was conducted on 12th and 13th October 2017 conducted by the Department of Computer Science (SF), BCA and Information Technology in the Computer Laboratory with the collaboration of Techradiance and IIT Bombay. The Resource Person was Mr. M. Sabarinathan, Technical Manager, Gateway Software Solutions, Coimbatore. Around 56 students participated in the program. The students gained their knowledge to develop Applications using Android.
The State Level Technical Symposium (SACTECHFEST’18) was held on 21st February 2017 conducted by the Department of Computer Science (SF), BCA and Information Technology in the college Seminar Hall. Around 15 colleges participated and the events were Paper Presentation, E-waste, Stress Interview, Word Hunt, Debugging and Software Marketing. Around 200 students participated in the program.
The One Day Workshop on “Website Design” was held on 5th March 2018 conducted by the Department of Computer Science (SF) and Information Technology in the Computer Laboratory in the collaboration with the college Placement cell. The Resource Person was Mr.J.MohamedRajakMainudeen, Career Analyst, Skilled Youth Professionals Association, Chennai. Around 85 students participated in the program. The students gained their knowledge to develop website.
