The Department of Information Technology inaugurated its Association by Dr. M. Stephen Muthukumar, Head & Assistant Professor, Placement Officer, St. John’s College of Education, Palayamkottai, who spoke on the topic, Look at the Bright Side. The department continued its departmental activities by conducting a guest lecture titled, Emotional Well Being by Mr. S. Abdul Hameed Sharaee, Professional Counsellor, Srilanka, on February 11, 2019. The department organized a State Level Workshop on February 14 and 15, 2019 titled, Apps Development Using Android. Mr. Sabarinathan Muthu, Executive Manager, Gateway Software Solutions, Coimbatore, and Mr. Shahul Hameed, Web Tester, Gateway Software Solutions, Coimbatore, were the resource persons and nearly 100 participants took part in the seminar.

Guest Lecture The Guest Lecture was conducted by the Department of IT on 11th February 2019, on Monday at 4.30 p.m. in the college Seminar Hall. Mr. S. Abdul Hameed Sharaee, Professional Counsellor, Sri Lanka, was the Resource Person. He delivered the lecture on “EMOTIONAL WELL BEING”. One Hundred students from first, second and third year of Information Technology department participated in the program.
Workshop A Two Day State level Workshop on “APPS USING ANDROID” was held on 14th and 15th February 2019 conducted by the Department of Information Technology in the Computer Laboratory. The Resource Person was Mr. M. Sabarinathan, Technical Manager, Mr. Shahul Hameed, Web Developer, Gateway Software Solutions, Coimbatore. Around 100 students participated in the program. The students gained their knowledge to develop Android Apps.
Association Valedictory The Valedictory of the Department of IT was held on 11th March 2020, on Wednesday at 4.30 pm in the college Seminar Hall. Dr.D.AbiyaChelliah , Assistant Professor of Botany, St.John’s College , Palayamkottaiwas the Resource Person. He delivered the key note address on “PROGRAMMING YOUR MIND FOR SUCCESS”. One Hundred students from first, second and third year of Information Technology department participated in the program.
