Activities - (2017-2018)

The Department of Mathematics inaugurated its Association activities on 11.07.2017. Dr. Alwyn Asir, Associate Professor of Mathematics, St. John’s College, Tirunelveli, addressed the gathering. The Department also organized a guest lecture on 20.07.2017. Dr. T. Kumari Latha, Associate Professor of Mathematics, Kumara Gurupara Swamigal Arts College, delivered a lecture on the topic Introduction to Number Theory. The Department also organized a National Level Seminar on Graph Theory and its Applications on 14.09.2017. Dr. J. Baskar Babujee, Associate Professor of Mathematics, Anna University, Chennai; and Dr. G. Suresh Singh, Head & Professor of Mathematics, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, were the Resource Persons.

The PG and Research Department of Mathematics (Unaided) inaugurated its Association on 31.07.2017 with Mr. S. Shahul Hameed, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, Sadakathullah Appa College, delivering a special lecture on Statistics – A Real Big Boss. The Department also organized a Guest Lecture on Problem Solving in Algebra on 20.09.2017 with Dr. M. Sattanathan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Einstein College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, as the guest of honour.
