The Department of Mathematics (Aided) inaugurated its Association on 18.07.2018 with Alhaj. S. M. B. Jahuber Ali, Former Head of the Department, Department of Mathematics, as the Chief Guest who delivered a guiding speech to the aspirants of Mathematics on the topic, Easy Way to Study Mathematics. The department conducted a guest lecture on 09.08.2018 titled, Dihedral Groups and its Applications by Dr. S. Kavitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, PG Extension Centre, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Nagercoil. Followed by these guest lectures, yet another lecture was conducted on 22.02.2019 with Dr. K. Ali, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, The M.D.T. Hindu College, Pettai, as the guest speaker, who delivered a talk on Problem Solving Techniques in Reasoning. The Department organized an International Symposium on 27.02.2019, where nearly 400 delegates participated. Dr. R. Kala, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli; Dr. A. Antony Kishore, Lecturer, Mathematics, IT Department, IBRI College of Technology; Al Aqder, IBRI, Sultanate of Oman; and Dr. I. Shahul Hamid, Assistant Professor, The Madurai College, Madurai, were the resource persons.
The Department of Mathematics (Unaided) inaugurated its Association in the presence of Mrs. T. Kumarilatha, Assistant Professor, Sri Kumara Gurupara Swamigal Arts College, Srivaikundam, who delivered a lecture titled, Geodesic in Graphs. The department also organized a guest lecture on 27.10.2018 in the presence of Dr. T. Asir, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. The topic of the lecture was Learning Technique in Mathematics. The second guest lecture was arranged on 16.02.2018. Dr. Veeramani, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, VIT University, Vellore, was invited as the resource person who delivered a speech titled, Problems on Algebra. The department also organized a One-Day State Level Workshop on Analysis on 07.03.2019. Dr. M. Marudai, Hon. Professor, Department of Mathematics, Bharathidasan University, Trichy, was the resource person and nearly 100 participants from various colleges took part in it.
