Activities - (2017-2018)

The Department of Computer Science (PG) inaugurated its Association on July 19, 2017 with a special lecture on Equip Yourself by Mr. H. Vangigopala Krishnan, PG Assistant, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sankar Nagar. Subsequently, three guest lectures were organized. The first guest lecture was organized on August 22, 2017 with Mr. R. Saravana Kumar, Senior Project Manager, INETZ Techno Solution, Tirunelveli, as the chief guest. He spoke on Internet of Things. The second guest lecture was organized on October 14, 2017 with Mr. A. Jothi Kumar as the resource person and he spoke on Deep Learning. The third guest lecture was conducted on March 07, 2018 with T. Murugan, Placement Trainer, Smart Bees Infotech, as the guest speaker. He spoke on Career Development. The Department, in between the series of guest lectures, conducted a National Conference on Computational Intelligence NCCI ’18 on February 21, 2018. Dr. D. Muhammed Noorul Mubarak, Professor, Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala; and Dr. A Suruliandi, Controller of Examination, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, were the resource persons. The PG Department of Computer Science has introduced an innovative method of printing QR Codes on the certificates distributed at seminars and conferences conducted by the Department. The QR Code enables the access of the presented paper and other details online.
