NCC camps are held all over India, hence students get an opportunity to visit new places on Governments’ Expenses and learn the skill of conducting themselves and others independently. They develop their social skills and adapt to the new and varying environment.
NCC cadets take pride in them. The training strengthens a student’s Over-all Personality. This helps them join Army, Navy and Air Forces in particular and Uniform Services in general.
Other than military training and activities, the cadets can also participate in Annual Training Camps, Combined Annual Training Camps, Inter Unit Competitions, Republic Day Camps, Thal Sainik Camps, NCC National Games, Parachuting, Paragliding, Basic Mountaineering Courses, Advanced Mountaineering Courses, Basic Aviation Courses, Advanced Aviation Courses, Basic Leadership Camps, Advanced Leadership Camps, National Integration Camps, because of which they easily qualify for Armed Forces. Unlike others, NCC cadets can avail a special quota in the final selection of Armed Forces and Other Services with NCC B’ Certificate or NCC C’ Certificate.
B.Sc. Physics and B.Sc. Mathematics Graduates with NCC C’ Certificate are preferred in the Ministry of Communications and in the Department of Telecommunication. |

During every selection 8% of seats are reserved for NCC C’ Certificate Holders in Navy. |
During every selection 100 seats in the Officers Training Academy (OTA) and 64 seats in the Indian Military Academy (IMA) are reserved for NCC C’ Certificate Holders. |

YOUTH EXCHANCE PROGRAME IN NCC |

Every year 1850 NCC cadets participate in the prestigious Republic Day Camp at New Delhi, from 28 December to 31 January from 17 NCC Directorates of our country. |
Out of 1850, some 148 NCC cadets are selected for youth Exchange Programme |
Selected cadets can visit and stay for a month in any one of the following NCC friendly foreign countries: |
RUSSIA, NEPAL, BHUTAN, AUSTRALIA, SINGAPORE, UNITED KINGDOM, BANGLADESH, YANGON, SRI LANKA, VIETNAM. All these countries have NCC Units in their Educational Institutions. NCC cadets from heir Institutions visit India during the same period. |
It is purely an official visit. All the travel arrangements and expenses would be looked after by the Government of India. |
