The College NCC unit has been functioning vibrantly with 104 Senior Division and Senior Wing cadets. Lt Dr. K. Syed Ali Bhadhusha, Assistant Professor of English, is the Company Commander. Cadet Under Officer A. Muthu Mari of III B.A. History attended the IGC - State Level Selection Cum Training Camp from 11.07.2018 to 20.07.2018 at NCC Training Academy, Madurai for taking part in the All India Thal Sainik Camp - 2018.
Cadet A. Muthu Selvam of II B.Sc. Physics and M. Syed Magudum of III B.B.A. took part in the IGC – State Level Selection Cum Training Camp from 08.10.2018 to 17.10.2018 at KPR Institute of Technology, Coimbatore for participating in the Republic Day Parade -2019. Cadet Under Officer G. Amirtha Raj of III B.A. History and Cadet Under Officer G. Ramamoorthi of III B.Sc. Computer Science participated in the All India Trekking Camp at Kulamavu, Idukki, Kerala from 18.10.2018 to 25.10.2018.
Lt Dr. K. Syed Ali Bhadhusha acted as the Madurai Group NCC Contingent Commander for the first time and participated in the IGC – RDC Training Cum Selection Camp from 08.10.2018 to 17.10.2018 at KPR Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. A total of 13 SD and SW cadets were selected and sent to New Delhi for participating in the Republic Day Camp 2019. A total of nineteen SD and nine SW cadets appeared for NCC ‘B’ Certificate Examination held at Rani Anna College for Women, Tirunelveli on 16.02.2019 and 17.02.2019. Sixteen SD and three SW cadets wrote NCC ‘C’ Certificate Examination on 23.02.2019 and 24.02.2019 held at St. John’s College, Palayamkottai. The following are the camps, awards, scholarships and other recognitions achieved by the cadets during the academic year 2018-2019.
Lt. K. Syed Ali Bhadhusha attended the NCC Deputy Director General’s Conference held at NTA, Madurai on 11.09.2018. He also participated in the NCC Deputy Director General’s Coordinating Conference for IGC RDC 2019 held in Chennai on 28.09.2018. He attended the Combined Annual Training Camps held in Coimbatore and Madurai from 28.09.2018 to 07.10.2018 and from 08.10.2018 to 17.10.2018 respectively.

I am delighted to register on this occasion that our NCC Cadets have been very active in participating and winning prizes at the national, state and university levels. There were 65 representations by the NCC Cadets at the university level, 3 representations at the state level and 2 representations at the national level. One of our cadets has won a state level award.
