The Department of Arabic (Aided) began its departmental activities for the academic year 2019 with a Guest lecture on February 25 entitled Moral Ethics in the Light of Quran and Hadeeth by Alhaj. A. Abdul Hayu, Former Head, Department of Arabic, Sadakathullah Appa College, Rahmath Nagar, Tirunelveli.

The Department conducted its second lecture on March 01, 2019 entitled Personality Development Skills in the Prophetic Way by Dr. K. F. Jaleel Ahamed, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Arabic, Dr. Zakir Husain College, Ilayangudi.The Department, in the year 2018, organized a State level seminar on October 04 with the title The Study of Feminism in Islamic Perspective.

Dr. N. M. Ahamed Ibrahim, Associate Professor, Department of Arabic, delivered the keynote address and Dr. A. Jahir Hussain, Chairman of Arabic, delivered the inaugural address.

The seminar witnessed about 250 participants. The Department arranged a guest lecture on December 19, 2018 commemorating Meeladun- Nabi. Moulavi Mustafa Maslahi, Professor, Manabaus Salah Arabic College, Tuticorin, was the invited guest and spoke on Good Manners of Prophet (PBUH).

The lecture was attended by 200 participants. An Islamic Quiz Programme was conducted on December 12, 2019 with Dr. K. F. Jaleel Ahamed, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Arabic, Dr. Zakir Husain College, Ilayangudi, as the Quizmaster. Two hundred students from various colleges actively participated in the event.

The Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies (Unaided) began its departmental activities for the academic year 2018 with the inauguration of its Association on August 14. Moulana, Al-Hafiz M. Y. Humayoon Kabeer Usmani, Principal, Riyazhl Jinan Arabic College, Pettai, Tirunelveli, delivered a lecture on Human Values in the Prophet Guideline.

The department conducted its first guest lecture for the academic year 2018 on September 28. The topic of the talk was Hijrah: A Journey Planned Well in Advance by Moulana, Al-Hafiz M.S. Shawqath Ali Usmani, Chief Iman and Katheeb, Cultural Association Mosque, Nagercoil.

The department conducted its second guest lecture on February 22, 2019 by Moulavi, S. Mujeebur Rahman Maslahi, Government Khazi, Tuticorin. He spoke of Harmonious Relationship in his talk. On February 10, 2019,
