Activities (2019-2020)

The Department of English (Aided) solemnized its Association Inauguration on 30.09.2019. Dr. Beneson Thilagar Christadoss, Associate Professor of English, St. John’s College, Palayamkottai was the resource person. He spoke on Entrepreneurship and Careers for Literature Students The department also organized a National Seminar on Theories and World-Making on 06.03.2019.

Dr. Pramod K.Nayar, Professor, University of Hyderabad, Dr. V. Christopher Ramesh, Assistant Professor of English, Government Arts College, Tiruchirapalli, Dr. Abdul Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Associate Professor of English, Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy were the resource persons. Fifty six students of the department went to the The Hindu Press, Tiruvanandhapuram for an Industrial Visit on 03.10.2019.

Mr. S. Khaleel Ahamed, Assistant Professor, Department of English served as the Quiz-Master for the Quiz Competition on the theme, “History of English Literature”, held on 22.10.2019. Dr. Yunush Ahamed Mohamed Sherif, Assistant Professor, Department of English, meticulously organized the Poster Presentation during October 2019. S.O. Katheeja Fazeela, Assistant Professor, Department of English has successfully completed the NPTEL Online course titled , “Introduction to World Literature” with a consolidated score of 75% during Jan-April 2019. She also coordinated the Model Making Competition for Literature students on 30.09.2019 organized by the department.
