Activities - (2015-2016)

The Department of Physics inaugurated its Association on 28/8/2015 at the college Seminar hall at 4:30 p.m. Mrs. T. Varthini, Associate Professor of Physics, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli, was the Guest speaker. She delivered a lecture on Optical Communication.

A Guest Lecture was conducted on 7/2/2015 at the college Seminar hall at 2 p.m. Dr. E. Kumar, Assistant Professor of Physics, Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai, was the Guest speaker. He delivered a lecture on Preparation of Nanomaterials.

A Guest Lecture was conducted on 19/3/2016 at the college Seminar hall at 4:30 p.m. Dr. R. Mary Jenila, Assistant Professor of Physics, St. Xavier’s College, Tirunelveli, was the Guest speaker. She delivered a lecture on Growth and Characterization of Organometallic Crystals.

A State Level Seminar was organized by the Department of Physics on 16/2/2015 at the college Seminar hall at 10:00 a.m. Dr. D. Pathinettam Padiyan, Professor of Physics, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, was the Resource Person. He delivered a lecture on Recent Trends in Material Science. Participants various college of Tamil Nadu and the students, scholars and faculty of Sadakathullah Appa College, Tirunelveli, participated in the State level event. All the UG, PG students of the Department and the faculty attended the program.
