Activities - (2018-2019)

The Department of Physics inaugurated its Association activities on 16/8/2018 at the college E-Conference hall at 4:30 p.m. Dr. A. Raja, Research Faculty of Physics, Kalasalingam University, Krishnankovil, was the Guest Speaker. He threw light on Graphene Based Nanomaterials and its Photocatalytic Application.

A Guest Lecture was conducted on 22/2/2019 at the college E-Conference hall at 3:00 p.m. Dr. E. M. Mothi, Associate Professor of Physics, PSN College of Engineering and Technology, Tirunelveli, was the invited Speaker. He delivered a lecture on Nanomaterials for Artificial Photosynthesis.

A team of PG students and the faculty of the Department of Physics went on a picnic to Kanyakumari on 19/2/2019 under the leadership of Prof. A. Zeenath Bazeera, Assistant Professor of Physics.

A National Seminar was conducted on 10/1/2019 at the college Seminar hall at 10:00 a.m. Dr. N. Vijayan, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory Of India, New Delhi, Dr. R. Sankaranarayanan, NIT, Tiruchirappali, Dr. Rita John, University of Madras, Chennai, Dr. I. Hurbert Joe, Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. B. Sundarakannan, Manomaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli & Dr. Basherrudin Mahmud Ahmed, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, was the Resource Person. They delivered a lecture on Emerging Trends in Physics. All the UG, PG students of the Department and the faculty attended the program.
