The Department of Physics inaugurated its Association on 2/9/2016 at the college Seminar hall at 4:30 p.m. Dr. D. Muthuraj, Associate Professor of Physics, M.D.T Hindu College, Tirunelveli, was the invited speaker. He shed light on Science of Small.

A Guest Lecture was conducted on 23/2/2017 at the college E-Conference hall at 2:30 p.m. Dr. S. Jayakumari, Associate Professor of Physics, Sri Kumara Gurupara Swamigal Arts College, Srivaikuntam, was the Guest of Honour. She elaborated on the topic Divinity in Physical Concepts.

A team of PG students and the faculty of the Department of Physics and went on a picnic to Thenmalai Eco-Tourism Centre on 18/2/2017 under the guidance of Prof. A. Zeenath Bazeera, Assistant Professor of Physics.

A National Seminar was organised on 6/3/2017 at the college Seminar hall at 10:00 a.m. Dr. M. Mahendran, Associate Professor of Physics, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, was the Resource Person. He delivered a lecture on Recent Trends in Material Science. All the UG, PG students of the Department and the faculty attended the program.
