A Guest Lecture was organised by the Department of Microbiology on 25th November, 2021. Dr.R. Janet Rani, Head of the Department of Microbiology, welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. Mohamed Sathik, Principal of the college presided over the programme. Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice Principal, SadakathullahAppa College felicitated the gathering. Chief guest Dr.Saravanapriya, ICAR-Bioconversion Technology Centre of Sri Parasakthi College for Women, Courtallam, spoke on the topic ‘Solid Waste Management’. Dr.M.SuriyaPrabha, Assistant Professor of Microbiology delivered the vote of thanks.

The Microbiology Association Valedictory was held on 11th June 2022 at the seminar hall of SadakathullahAppa College by 11.30 am. Dr.R. Janet Rani, Head of the Department of Microbiology, welcomed the UG and PG students, research scholars, staff and the management. She was very much delighted in welcoming chief guest who is also the alumni and former student of Microbiology department, Mr. I. Abdul ArshathAyas. Dr. S. M. Abdul Kader, Principal of the college presided over the program. Dr. S.M.A. Syed Mohamed Khaja, Vice Principal, SadakathullahAppa College felicitated the gathering. He listed the top seven countries providing opportunities for young budding microbiologists throughout the world. He also encouraged the students who will become the chief guest in the upcoming years if they pursue their education with hard work and dedication. The chief guest Mr. I. Abdul ArshathAyas, is a Quality Controller Analyst of Immuneel Therapeutics Pvt Ltd, Mazhumdar Shaw Medical Center, Bangalore. He felt proud to stand among the gathering as chief guest in the same place where he won many prizes while studying in the college during 2011-2014. He delivered a lecture on ‘Microbiologists in Pharma’. He enumerated the techniques of facing the interview along with his experience in different companies he worked so far. He invited students from PG and UG and conducted a mock interview. He enlisted the job opportunities of the pharma companies in the analytical and production field. He also encouraged students to study the basics of microbiology with commitment. Mr.S.MohamedSamsudeenRasiq of II MSc Microbiology thanked the gathering. M/s.Atchaya and Hamitha Mohamed of I MSc Microbiology served as master of ceremony for the whole program.
