Department of Physics organised a Guest lecture on “Abundant Utilizations of Materials” on 21.04.2021. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. M. Mohamed Roshan, Assistant professor of Physics. Dr .S. H. Mohamed Ameen, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Physics, presided over the event. Dr. S. M. Abdul Kader, Associate Professor of Physics, felicitated the gathering. Dr. R. Jothimani, Assistant Professor of Physics, Fatima College, Madurai gave a special lecture on “Abundant Utilization of Materials”. The programme came to an end with the Vote of thanks given by Dr. S. Nazarath Begum, Assistant Professor of Physics.
Department of Physics organized a National Webinar on “Advances in Nanotechnology and Crystallography” on 12th June, 2020. Principal of the College Dr. M. Mohamed Sathik, was the organizing chairman of the event. Convenor of the event was Dr. S. H. Mohamed Ameen, Controller of Examinations & Head of the Department of Physics. Dr. M. Mohamed Roshan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics was the organizing secretary of the event. Dr. N. J. Sulthan Kissinger, Assistant Professor of Physics, Jubail University College, KSA delivered a special lecture on “Nano Wire – based Light Emitting Diodes” and Dr. K. S. Kiran, Professor of Physics, Jain (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore delivered a talk on “Elements of Crystallography”. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. M. Mohamed Roshan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.
A Quiz contest on “Basic physics” for commemorating the Birth Anniversary of Sir Isaac Newton was conducted online jointly by the Department of Physics , Sadakathullah Appa College and Noorul Islam centre for Higher Education, Kumaracoil on 23rd and 24th December, 2020. Dr. S. H. Mohamed Ameen, Associate professor& Head, Department of Physics and Dr. Bindhu, Professor& Head, Department of Physics from Noorul Islam centre for Higher Education, Kumaracoil were convenors of the event. Dr. S. M. Abdul Kader, Associate Professor, Department of Physics and Mrs. A. Zeenath Bazeera, Assistant Professor& Head, PG Department of Physics was Co-Convenors of the event. Organising Secretaries of the event were Dr. M. Mohamed Roshan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Dr. R. Ganapathi Raman, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kumaracoil. Large number of students participated in the quiz.
