About Department

      The Department of Physics was established in 1971with an objective to render services to Institutional development as well as development of the society. It began to offer B.Sc Physics in the year 1983. It was elevated as a PG Department in the year 2013 offering M.Sc Physics from the academic year 2013-2014 with the well equipped Laboratory. Master of Philosophy was introduced in the academic year 2017-2018 with a exclusive laboratory.

      The Department has been recognized as a Research Centre of Physics in the academic year 2017-2018 with well furnished Laboratory. The Experienced and qualified faculty members are working in the following domains :Non-Linear Dynamics, Nano Materials, Multiferroic Ceramics/Thin Films, Ultrasonic Studies, Piezoelectric Materials and Crystal Growth.
