Activities - (2017-2018)

The Department of Tamil (Aided) started its departmental activities with the Seethakathi Tamil Peravai Special Lecture on 08.08.2017. Prof. K. Abdul Raheem, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, Zakir Hussain College, Ilayangudi delivered a speech on jkpNo cdf;fhf. The Department also conducted a National Level Conference on எதிர்காலத் தமிழ் on 19.12.2017. Mr. Ponneelan, Sahithya Academy Award winning Writer, Dr. Sundara Aavudaiyappan, All India Radio, M.M. Deen, Short Story Writer, Dr. K. Parthipa Raja, Sacred Heart College, Tiruppattur, Dr. S. Antony Selvakumar, Head, Department of Tamil, Margasious College, were the Resource Person. Dr. M. Mohamed Sathik, Principal of our college was also one among the resource persons and delivered a speech on இணையத் தமிழின் எதிர்காலம்.

The Department conducted a Guest Lecture on 27.09.2018 on the topic கவிக்கோ என்கிற கவிதைத் தாய். Pavalar Arivumathi was the Resource Person. The Department conducted the second guest lecture on 07.02.2018. Mr. Ervadi Radhakrishnan, a renowned poet spoke on the topic “Kavidhai Enum Peruvaram”. The Department also conducted three Endowment Lectures. WAVOO Endowment Lecture was organized on 30.12.2017.

Dr. A. Syed Jakir Hussain, Head, Department of Tamil, Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy, delivered a speech on முஹ்யத்தீன் மாலையில் வலிமார்களின் கோமான்.

During the Sadavadani Seyhuthambi Pavalar Endowment Lecture on 10.02.2018. Prof. K. Syed Ahamed Kabeer, Department of Tamil, Kader Moideen College, Adirampattinam was the Resource Person.

Alhaj L.K.S. Meeran Mohideen Tharahanar Endowment Lecture was organized on 10.03.2018. Mr. Sethu Muruga Boopathi, Chairperson of Legal Aid, Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry delivered the lecture on the topic “Consumer Rights and Duties”.

Two debates were enthusiastically conducted by the Department. Pongal Special Debate was conducted on 09.01.2018 and Deepavali Special Debate was conducted on 03.10.2017.

The Department of Tamil (Unaided) started its departmental activities with the Tamil Peravai Inaugural Lecture by Dr. S. Mahadevan, Head, Department of Tamil on 26.08.2017.

The Department also conducted a State Level Workshop with the title மொழித்திறன் மேம்பாடு on 15.09.2017. Mr. R. Naarumpoonathan, Writer, Tirunelveli, Dr. Munees Shafreen, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, Urumu Dhanalakshmi College, Tiruchirappalli, Dr. P. Kumaresan, Assistant Professor, Department of Languages, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and Dr. K. Sridhar, Head, PG Department of Tamil, V.H.N. Senthil Kumarar Nadar College, Virudhunagar were the Resource Persons. A Guest Lecture was also organized. Mr. M.M. Deen, Writer, Tirunelveli was the Resource Person.
