The Department of Zoology had the inauguration of its Association on 17.08.2016 with Dr. A. Palavesam, Head, Department of Animal Science, M.S. University, Tirunelveli, as Chief Guest.
The Department also organized the Animal Preservation Workshop in collaboration with Tirunelveli Government Museum on 17.08.2016 with M. Karunagaran I.A.S, District Collector, Tirunelveli, as special guest. Two guest lectures were organized by the Department – one on the topic World Vision Day on 25.10.2016 and the other on Towards Synthetic Life on 24.02.2017.
A Cancer Awareness Program was conducted on 03.02.2017 with Dr. S. Manimegalai, Medical Officer, Nellai Care Centre, Tirunelveli and Dr. M. Abirami, Medical Officer, Nellai Cancer Care Centre, Tirunelveli, as the guest speakers.
